In recent years, there is a concern about the effects of childcare and elderly care on continuing employment. Some people engage in dual care for children and elderly due to late marriage. This is called double care. Therefore, I explored topics for future research by reflecting on the measures for childcare/elderly care and employment in Japan and the previous studies. As a result, it was found that measures related to childcare and elderly care are being carried out along with improvement in the working environment. Although there is research on the employment of physical therapists and childcare/elderly care, there have been few studies on occupational therapists’ employment, childcare, and elderly care, those on physical therapists/occupational therapist and double care were not found.
