| 内容記述 | 近年，公立図書館は地域包括ケアシステムを支える社会資源のひとつとして提案されている。筆者は広島市立中央図書館で認知症の啓発と支援を模索する実践機会を得た。方法は，平成30年３月10日から平成30年６月10日の３ヶ月間，図書館職員との協働のもと認知症に関する図 書を集めた特設コーナーを開催した。開催期間中は市民を対象に認知症講座を実施した。その他，マスコミ告知や図書館利用者（以下，利用者）アンケートを実施した。終了後には図書館職員アンケートを実施した。利用者は図書館を認知症に関する知識や情報を得る場として期待しており，本の探しやすさに対する希望を持っていた。利用者には認知症の人も含まれており，図書館職員には定期的な認知症の知識習得機会や対応事例に関する検討会の必要性を推察した。認知症の人とその家族が社会との分断を防ぐためにも，図書館サービスのあり方について今後も継続して検討する必要性が示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Public libraries have been suggested to serve as a social resource to support Japan’s communitybased integrated care system. To support persons with dementia, the author held an awarenessenhancing event at Hiroshima City Library. During the 3-month period between March 10 and June 10, 2018, books on dementia were introduced at a special corner, created within the library through collaboration with library staff. Lectures on dementia for citizens were also given, with advertising through mass media and a questionnaire survey involving library users. After the event, another questionnaire survey, involving library staff, was conducted. The library users expected the library to create opportunities for them to obtain knowledge and information related to dementia. There were also demands related to the ease of finding desired bibliographic items. Some of the users had dementia, indicating the necessity of providing opportunities for library staff to regularly learn about dementia, and discuss appropriate management through case studies. Library services should also be examined to improve how they help prevent social isolation among persons with dementia and their families. | |||||
